About Labour Job Market

Labour Job Market is a free marketplace connecting construction workers and contractors across India, starting in Bengaluru. Workers list their trade and get called directly by contractors — no commission, no middleman.

It is built for India's unorganised construction workforce — masons, helpers, mistris, carpenters, painters, electricians and more — and the contractors and homeowners who hire them. Everything works over a phone, in English and Hindi.

Trust comes first: a worker's phone number is never public and is shown only when a verified contractor chooses to make contact. Contractors verify their number before any worker's contact is revealed.

Labour Job Market is free to use and takes no commission or placement fee. It also publishes an open construction wage index — real day-rates by trade, computed from live listings — so both sides can agree fair pay.
